Motivated People
can Influence the Transformation
As data from McKinsey & Company shows, when employees are intrinsically motivated, they are 32% more committed and 46% more satisfied with their job and perform 16% better.
We always talk about people and always believe that People aspect is critical to success for any organization apart from technology, tools & Processes. That is true But did we ever measured on how people are contributing and are they really feeling to be a part of any change /transformation even after all available skills ?
As human being, we are all driven by connectedness, happiness and a desire to contribute positively to others. For all this we should have motivation and to enable these intrinsic motivations, have the key to enable strong loyalty, engagement and the performance .
It's vital to think about people motivation and what is critical to a person which can make them motivated . none of the transformation can be achieved if we have demotivated team or individuals. Motivation brings up the feel of ownership and as human if we own and think through over every decision or performed any activity keeping our self at center, should bring the highest positive impact !! , where without follow ups / targets things would be transformed in miraculous way .
This is evident now as millennials are becoming the majority population in companies. they may not be motivated just with paycheck . They also want happiness, connectedness, and meaning too.
So we need to go back to the basics of human psychology and connect back to what really is the need of individuals to keep their motivation up. Any success is only and only depends on motivated individual as we have many stories around where people came out of the death trap just with strong motivation to live. so nothing is impossible if you have motivated people surrounding you.
there is already a global movement is taking place in thousands of progressive organizations . The leaders of these organizations ask themselves “How can we create more human leadership and people-centered cultures where employees and leaders are more fulfilled and more fully engaged.
at last keep smiling , as world most successful leaders have the smile which gives the people , a feel of compassion ,connectedness , gives secured and trusted environment which motivates individual and enable the best performance.

ReplyDeleteIts definitely not the money which excite us(generation Y) anymore, but it's the appreciation and support for what we want to do...!
Not everyone can be compared on same scale, judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree is injustice to it and that's where we need to motivate every individual differently as per their abilities and strengths..!
